EXTREME TRIATHLON RACE ORGANISATIONS
XTRI World Tour
13 Races, 13 countries, 20 distances
Founded as ALLXTRI in 2013 with Norseman, Celtman & Swissman then grew to become the XTRI World Tour. Norseman is the XTRI World Championships with Xpoints and balloted athletes competing alongside top athletes from each XTRI race worldwide.
MyXTRI semi-virtual challenges started in 2020 during Covid and continues to create fun & training during off season.
7 races now host SOLO POINT FIVE (Half) events.
X-points started in 2023 to give Norseman entry priority to established XTRI athletes.
Extreme Triathlon Series
5 Races, 5 countries, 7 distances
Started in 2020 by a consortium of Pirene, StoneBrixia, Austria, Winterman and Knysna races.
Athletes have the opportunity of gathering 5 race pieces for the overall XTS Medal display and a place in the XTS Hall of Fame on their website.
Knysna also offers a '0.5' option.
Independent races
47 Races, 34 countries, 71 distances
By some margin the bulk of our races and carefully vetted against our race design criteria.
Independent races started in 2009 with Altriman, then Aurlandsfjellet and Oravaman in 2011. Before Celtman XTRI started in 2012.
Independent races then accelerated in greater numbers than the two main race organisations and the Global Team now help provide a worldwide view of all races to allow athletes to find races near them or further afield for great race travel adventures.
